Ivor Reveley – Chair

Ivor RevelyMy son, Matthew, has classic autism and severe learning difficulties. This means that his socialising and personal development are extremely slow and his prospects for independence are poor. In 2006 we first came across CASPA and Matt settled in very well as a 13 year old who didn't like people or noise!! He has been enthusiastically involved ever since.

I got involved, raised money for CASPA and helped out with football when one of the staff broke his leg. It was a this point that I was asked to become Chair of Trustees and happily accepted. I had over 20 years experience of working with young people, 15 years as a charity trustee and 15 years as a parent of a son with autism. Over the past 8 years we have expanded in the quality and quantity of our work. We now have wonderful staff and volunteers, a great team of trustees and more children, young people, parents and carers than we could have imagined at the beginning.

My skills are in fundraising, understanding money and strategy and giving all our people support as they live our vision: "Inspiration. Independence and Integration for all who are involved with CASPA."
