THE GREEN MILE 2023
On Sunday 25th June 2023, we had our very first event of it’s kind “The Green Mile.”
The event took place at Norman Park, Bromley and we had 100 people come along to join in the fun. They consisted of CASPA Families, Trustees, Members, Ex members, General public and The Mayor (Cllr Mike Botting) & Mayoress Of Bromley.
All participants chose to run or walk the one mile but the result was the same, with everyone smiling and cheering and supporting each other.
The Mayor Of Bromley walked the one mile in his suit and then said some word of thanks at the end of the event.
The event raised over £3000 for CASPA with many of the participants choosing to gain sponsorship.
Among those fundraising was Nicky Lowers. Nicky suffered from a stroke and has been unable to walk for 4 years but she took on the challenge and completed the one mile inspiring many others along the way.
We would like to thank Mortgage Evolution Ltd for Sponsoring the event, Zero to Hero runners for providing us with some wonderful volunteers, Norman Park Trackside Cafe for providing the water at the finish line, Leanne Suttle Photography for her wonderful photos of the event, St John’s Ambulance for being on hand and Supreme Trophies and Engraving for the Medals.
The Green Mile will return next year on Sunday 23rd June 2024. Save the date!
